At the close of summer last year, Butch Dawson released one of the best projects out of Baltimore's rap scene with his long-awaited Swamp Boy mixtape. The eight-track offering, which Butch also handled all production for, used jazzy undertones to illustrate his weighted relationship with his hometown. One of the best examples of that approach is "Ridin Round," an easygoing track to cruise around the city to. Today, The FADER is premiering the song's Felix B. Abeson-directed video. Within its three minutes, the clip shows Butch going on a campaign trail throughout Baltimore as he runs for office. “The visual for 'Ridin Round' highlights multiple concepts I’ve used to promote my artistry," Butch said in an email. "It all ties in together showing the realities of being a leader.” Watch the video above.
