Watch Meek Mill help introduce probation and parole reform legislation in Philadelphia

Today in Philadelphia, organizers behind REFORM Alliance gathered at the Philadelphia Municipal Services Building to introduce a new bill. The proposed legislation aims to reform strict probation and parole laws in the state of Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on eliminating consecutive probation sentences, as well as decriminalizing marijuana on drug tests.

Meek Mill was a special guest at the event. Flanked by Pennsylvania politicians on both sides of the aisle, Mill spoke on his personal experiences with the system: “I’ve lost too much time away from my son, my family, my friends and fans in Philly because of outdated probation laws, so I want to make sure people don’t have go through what I did.” Check out his full speech below, around the 32 minute mark.
