Grimes' fifth studio album, recently revealed to be named Miss Anthropocene, seems closer than ever. Though there's still no date attached to the LP, the Canadian producer recently sat down with Cultured Mag to catch up on the past few years of her career. Speaking as c (the name change she announced last spring) the artist revealed a surprising disdain for 2015's Art Angels: "The last album was a piece of crap. I feel like people really misread it and it feels like a stain on my life.”

Elsewhere in the piece, c details a song on the record called "So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth," which is about "when a dude comes inside you, you become in their thrall—how it’s an attack on your feminist freedom.” The article also touches on c's heavily publicized relationship with Elon Musk: “It’s sad how love can be this beautiful thing, but then love is the thing that’s fucking up my career.”

Last month, Grimes announced that the record would be delayed for being "2 ambitious/ taking too long." In anticipation, she says that she'll be releasing a number of demos as singles.
