As Otoboke Beaver, Accorinrin, Yoyoyoshie, Hirochan and Kahokiss make lightning rod punk that charges forward with steadfast fury. The Kyoto four-piece are currently gearing up for the release of their new album ITEKOMA HITS, which is due out next Friday, April 26 via Damnably. Today, they're offering a slamming new cut from the tracklist, "Bad luck," which finds the ladies warding off bad vibes with an acid tongue. Speaking with The FADER, Accorinrin explained the mythos behind the song:

"大殺界 (daisakkai) or literally ‘big kill circle’, is the worst level of ‘bad luck’ in the ‘rokusei senjutsu’ astrology system of fortune telling. It is a curse-like phrase, but we decided to sing it in a happy, light-hearted way because the pronunciation of the expression is fun. Fortune telling is popular in Japan (maybe many places). These fortunes seem to predict your life so specifically, “You will fall in love”, “It will last three years”, “It will end soon”. So we used this idea of fortunes as a self-fulfilling prophecy, and to say don’t let ‘bad luck’ dictate how you live a fun life, make a fun life for yourself! Let go of unimportant people who bring you down and make your life feel like bad luck nonsense."
