The hottest piece of folklore in professional sport is the so-called Drake curse. It proposes that a sports team is doomed to lose an important game if that club that takes photographs with Drake, or if the team's merch is worn by the rapper.

On Tuesday night the Toronto Raptors defeated the Orlando Magic to advance to the playoff semifinals. As Complex points out, Drake celebrated his home team's win with a quip to assembled reporters: “Want me to talk about the curse or you guys good?”

Drake's supernatural hold over the outcome of sports games has been a long-running "joke." However, it was recently elevated to doctrine when Paris Saint-Germain Football Club lost by its biggest margin in a decade after the team's Layvin Kurzawa took a photo with the Toronto rapper. AS Roma took things further by banning its players from taking photos with Drake.

Drake seems confident that the curse has been lifted. However, it's a long way to the finals, and the unfortunate thing about curses is that they cannot be exorcized by streams of "God's Plan."
