British band black midi announce debut album <I>Schlagenheim</i> Dan Kendall

Much-hyped British band black midi have announced details of their debut album. Schlagenheim is released on June 21 via Rough Trade. The band has also added dates to a very busy touring schedule, which currently includes a summer of festivals plus headline dates in Europe and North America. Much of Schlagenheim was recorded with producer Dan Carey, who recorded eight of the nine songs in just five days. The tracklist of the album will not be revealed until the day of release. black midi have released a number of singles in the past two years, including “Speedway,” “Crow’s Perch,” and “Talking Heads.”
