Lil Nas X has spent the past eight weeks at No.1 and "Old Town Road" is showing no signs of slowing down. The song, itself a viral smash courtesy of TikTok users, has gone viral twice more in the space of a week thanks to a bunch of school kids in Ohio.
Last week the principal of Ohio’s Lander Elementary School shared a video of her students losing it to "Old Town Road," much to the delight of the internet. This eventually caught the attention of the extremely online Lil Nas X, who promised to perform for the kids.
“I saw y’all video, and I knew I had to come,” he told the kids when he arrived at their school hall on Wednesday. Check out his performance above.
Principal Felecia Evens told local news outlet WKYC that she was delighted with the reaction: “This has been unbelievable to see the response, We are so grateful for everyone to see how much joy and energy our students have, we have a great school and awesome students.”
