DaBaby parodies his viral Louis store fight in “Carpet Burn” video

A brutal and possibly career-making altercation is DaBaby’s latest visual inspiration.

June 10, 2019

In late May, footage emerged of DaBaby being confronted in a Louis Vuitton store by rival North Carolina rapper Cam Coldhart. Despite the challenge, Coldhart was knocked to the ground in front of DaBaby's Instagram followers. His triumph quickly went viral, and the vicious brawl is probably the catalyst behind DaBaby's rise to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 with his song "Suge." The event is the inspiration for Baby's latest music video, which is titled "Carpet Burn" but also contains the Baby On Baby track "Deal Wit It." Baby brings his trademark wackiness both in his roles as a philandering plumber and the dopey rival rapper that challenges him to a fight. Watch it above.
