A$AP Rocky will be held in a Swedish jail for two weeks while police investigate his involvement in an alleged assault. The Hollywood Reporter states that the order came from prosectors during a court date on Friday, July 5.

Prosecutor Fredrik Karlsson is quoted as saying after the hearing at the Stockholm District Court that Rocky will be held on an assault charge rather than the aggravated assault charge he initially had demanded. Defense lawyer Henrik Olsson Lilja, meanwhile, said he will appeal the decision and claimed his client was acting in self-defense.

BBC News reports that if the investigation isn't concluded in two weeks' time, Swedish prosecutors can apply to keep Rocky for another two weeks.

Rocky was arrested on suspicion of assault alongside two members of his entourage and a security guard on Tuesday following an alleged incident with two men. The security guard was released on Thursday while the two other men are waiting for their hearings.

It was reported that the two alleged victims had accused Rocky of breaking a pair of headphones belonging to them. Video footage showed a physical altercation between both sides. Responding to that video footage shared by TMZ, Rocky accused the men of being "drug addicts" and shared his own video of the incident on social media.

Since his arrest Rocky has had to cancel festival performances in Norway and Poland. He was also due to headline Wireless Festival in London on Sunday, July 7. The FADER has reached out to festival organizers for comment.
