Metro Boomin and 21 Savage told the audience at 21 Savage’s recent LA show that a sequel to their 2016 record Savage Mode is on its way. 21 Savage has been teasing Savage Mode 2 for at least three years; if you’ll recall, the rapper previously said he had “20 to 30” songs ready for the project way back in his FADER cover story from November 2016. During the LA show, 21 Savage brought Metro Boomin onstage and proclaimed, gleefully, "Savage Mode 2 on the motherfuckin' way!"

Savage Mode was released in summer 2016 and featured production by Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, and 21 Savage, among others. The record’s only feature came from Future.
