Listen to a BBC Radio host announce Lil Nas X’s Billboard triumph over “Boyz Eleven Men”

The “II” in Boyz II Men is pronounced “two,” fyi.

July 31, 2019

Lil Nas X made history this week when "Old Town Road" made it to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 17th week in a row. The previous all-timer was a song called "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. Before you read on: you know it's pronounced "Boyz TWO Men," right? Because this post, and I cannot stress this enough, will not make sense to you unless you keep this knowledge in your head. Ok?

Right, so: A host on BBC Radio was announcing Lil Nas X's chart win, and when he read out the names of the artists behind "One Sweet Day," he said "Boyz Eleven Men." Can you ever imagine such a fucking thing? Wouldst thou like to live deliciously? Watch a clip of the EPIC GOOF above.

Lil Nas shared the fourth "Old Town Road" remix, "Seoul Town Road" featuring BTS's RM, last week. If he doesn't invite this BBC presenter on another version of the song, I don't know what any of this is for.
