Before summer ends, buy some tequila and make a Margarita

Summer’s fading fast, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop mixing together summer drinks — if anything, you should be saving the best ones for the last weeks of the season. Take, for example, a classic Margarita — it’s just a handful of ingredients (tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and salt) but it’s one of the most iconic drinks of all time. A good quality marg is one of our favourite summer sips, so don’t fuck this one up. As long as you follow our suggestions, you definitely won’t.

To make a Margarita, mix 2 parts tequila — we suggest Don Julio, El Jimidaor, Espolon, Hornitos, or 1800 — alongside one part lime juice and one part triple sec, probably Cointreau. Shake over ice and strain into a glass rimmed with salt. You could serve this in a stemmed cocktail glass, sure, but we prefer keeping it casual and serving in a tumblr. Enjoy!
