With the launch of Disney+ just a few months away, the streaming service is set on not only providing access to their full-back catalog of films as well as new shows like The World According to Jeff Goldblum, but also dabbling in some heavy television nostalgia with actress Hilary Duff announcing she'll be reprising her role as Lizzie McGuire in an upcoming sequel series.
Speaking at Disney's D23 Fan Expo on Friday night, Duff told the audience the new series will follow Lizzie heading into her 30s, working her dream job in interior design, and living in the perfect Brooklyn apartment. Of course, her sassy animated inner-voice will also be along for the ride. “She is still dealing with that 13-year-old no-holds-barred animated Lizzie, constantly in her head," Duff explained.
Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Muppets Now and an animated Clone Wars series were also announced on Friday.
The actress posted the news to Instagram on Friday night, along with clips from the original show.
Disney+ will begin streaming on November 12.
