As Popeye's chicken sandwiches keep selling out at locations across the country, rapper Quavo seems to have found the perfect solution: selling the elusive meal for $1000 a pop.
After launching its new sandwiched earlier this month, the response has been positive, to say the least, with many locations running out of it in a matter of days. Quavo took to Instagram to (jokingly) offer up access to the sandwich for the steep inflated price against its original $3.99 price tag. Supply and demand, right?
“I heard y’all boys was looking for them, they sold out everywhere,” he says in the clip while opening his car trunk, then opening up a bag full of the sandwiches. “I got them things going for $1,000 a chicken."
