“Sweet But Psycho” singer Ava Max has taken to the stage of the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards to perform her latest single “Torn.” The Milwaukee native’s ABBA-esque follow-up to her March single “So Am I,” “Torn” is set to feature on Max’s upcoming debut album. The song was produced by Canadian producer Cirkut, a frequent collaborator of Kim Petras, The Weeknd, and Azealia Banks. Watch Max’s VMAs performance below.

The 2019 VMAs are being held Monday evening at New Jersey's Prudential Center. Hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalo, the 36th annual award show has Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift leading the way with 10 nominations each, and Missy Elliott receiving the esteemed Video Vanguard Award.
