Nardwuar The Human Serviette, is a music journalist, musician, and Canadian cultural icon, and on Monday, Mayor Kennedy Stewart of Nard's hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia issued a proclamation declaring September 29 as "Nardwaur Day."

The official proclamation serves as a summary of Nard's career and contributions to music. It celebrates "32 years of tireless service to Vancouver's music community," and Nard's status as "a world-renowned media personality," and "a long-running host at UBC campus radio station, CiTR 101.9FM." Nardwaur received the news during a ceremony for his star on the BC Walk of Fame. "Thank you so much for this incredible life event," Nardwuar said on Twitter. "I am honoured!" September 29 may have passed, but it's never too early to start planning your annual Nardwaur day traditions.
