Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, and Aaron Dessner of The National have announced Eaux Claires Hiver, a festival set to take place later this year between November 21-24. The festival was announced in a promotional video featuring a flock of birds travelling against a snowy, wooded landscape and the Jon Hopkin’s track “Feel First Life.” Towards the end of the video a soothing voice suggests that Eaux Claires will be returning this upcoming summer — “We know it’s going to be a winter thing. A smaller thing and we’ll start preparing bigger things for the summer to come.”

According to the main venue’s website Hiver will be an immersive weekend of performance and improvisation featuring an eclectic blend of artists including, Ani DiFranco, Pieta Brown, Jon Hopkins, Aaron Dessner, Justin Vernon, William Brittelle, and others presented via three distinct events.
