Kanye West made a surprise appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night to promote new album Jesus Is King. The interview was pre-recorded as part of Kimmel's week of shows in New York and was supposed to air around the time the new album dropped online. "It's out now," Kanye told Kimmel during the interview. At the time of writing Jesus Is King still hasn't been released, with Kanye tweeting to say that he and his producers are still finishing work on the record.

Thank you for being loyal & patient
We are specifically fixing mixes on “Everything We Need” “Follow God” & “Water”
We not going to sleep until this album is out!
Speaking to Kimmel about the album, Kanye spoke about his religion and the role his Sunday Services have played in that. "I love that my daughter wants to go to church," he said. "She has such a positive assosciation with going to church because it's outside of the traditional four walls. Now that God has called me and I have given my life to Jesus Christ I work for God."
The Kimmel interview follows Kanye's sit down with Apple Music's Zane Lowe on Thursday. In that interview the rapper revealed plans to release another album on Christmas Day.
