Mega Simone slow things down on the soulful “Let Go”

The Virgin Mary attends a wild late night party in the producer’s brand new video.

Mega Simone's debut single is a clarion call for intimacy and connection from a pair of European producers currently keeping their identities under wraps. With a repeated refrain of "Just take hold of me, don't let go," "Let Go"'s chopped and screwed take on electro soul has a narcotic bounce mixed with a human heart. The video lurches and sways in a similar fashion, with footage of a live performance and party slowed down to a snail's pace to match the music. Sitting at the bar, anonymous amid the madness, is Mary, mother of Jesus.

"The song "Let Go" literally came to us out of thin air," Mega Simone explain via email. "One improvised vocal take on a looped beat and the song was finished. We wanted the video to reflect this immediacy and rawness by juxtaposing a hedonistic, blown-out party with the innocent and somewhat detached serenity of Virgin Mary. Embracing the dirt and the sublime-that's what Mega Simone is to us."
