Ja Rule was hit with a nice little splash of relevance in 2017 after he co-founded Fyre Festival, the disastrous music festival that promised attendees luxury villas and catering and instead gave them a handful of disaster tents and disgusting-looking cheese sandwiches. Since then, he’s kinda been milking the whole thing for all it’s worth, using every opportunity to push himself back into the limelight. And it’s basically working! Aside from being named as a defendant in the $100 million class-action lawsuit filed by attendees, he’s mostly come off from the whole thing unscathed but a lot more famous. Today, the milking continues: Ja Rule has released “FYRE,” a new song about his involvement in the festival. On the song, he raps about the aforementioned lawsuit, the “sabotage” of it all, and the investigations into the festival. It’s… something! Listen to “FYRE” below.
