While some artists seek locations for repose like Hawaii and Joshua Tree, MT. LOW find inspiration in the desert like The Church on the Hill of Prayer in Felicity, California. After taking treks there and Beatty, Nevada, they found inspiration for a new music project they've titled MT. LOW.

After sharing voice notes and photos, brothers Matt and Will Ritson created their first single "Fade (Into View)" which is a mix of the danceable synths of Majid Jordan and unexpected percussion of James Blake.

While the lyrics deal with the indecisiveness of a relationship, Matt is seen throwing punches and the rest of his body into the air. In an email, they revealed that this song was the result of trying to "piece our thoughts together and capture the feeling of that journey we’d been on” through the Mojave desert.
