Rapper Tzusan is on a downward spiral in his “WhereDidAllTheDreamersGo?” video

The lo-fi video is even grittier than the Scottish MC’s raps.

For fans of MIKE and Sporting Life, Scottish artist Tzusan has a taste of what Scotland has to offer in that realm of dusty, down in the basement hip-hop. "WhereDidAllTheDreamersGo?" is, as referenced in his first verse, composed of a "creepy crawly" beat and haunting lyrics that leave you wondering how much of rock bottom he's hit ("Burn the last witch/Scram[ble] the last Valium" and "Scrap the rest of the alphabet/Catch me catchin' zeds at the bar, hovering"). To add to the dark tones, he's sprinkled in sound bites from The Twilight Zone.

In an email, Tzusan explained the video's haziness: "We shot this video in a late night blur after stumbling out of a coffee shop in suburban Amsterdam late last summer.”

"WhereDidAllTheDreamersGo?" is off of his November 2019 project Babau. He will be performing at McChuills in Glasgow on February 29.
