We're about to reach the one-week mark of self-quarantining in New York City and while the food supply chain seems adequately equipped to handle these times, one thing most of us haven't been able to get enough of is social interaction. It's superb timing, then, that JPEGMAFIA recently launched a new vlog series, HTBAR (How To Build A Relationship). Each of the episodes feature Peggy in conversation with another artist in his orbit.
The most recent, uploaded this past Sunday, captures him deep in a round of Super Smash Bros with Orville Peck. Bonding over the discombobulating and sometimes dehumanizing lifestyle that comes with incessant touring, they offer some intriguing quips about meeting James Blake ("he's the big version of a short person") and Björk ("it wasn't [processed] until I got home a week later"). There's also some banter about golden showers in there.
