Orange County's Apollo Hill uses spacey guitars and a fluid approach to melody as the backdrop for a moment's escape on "Poison." The 25-year-old's laidback tune, premiering at the top of the page, is accompanied by a kaleidoscopic video in which Hills flashes his gold tooth and patterned hair while shades of blue and yellow wash over him. It's a bright and hopeful counterpoint to a song preoccupied by psychedelics and the removal of pain.
