While Blasé found success as the co-founder of pop band Haute, he wanted to switch things up. So the French vocalist, producer, and DJ who grew up in New York found himself in an Airbnb in southwest Atlanta for two weeks at the end of 2019. He brought rappers Ayodele, JWLES, and Le Lij with him to collaborate with locals NGeeYL, Sheen Frost, Doobie Rockstar, BStakk, Squido, Kil, and Eli Band$. The result was the first installment of Spin The Globe.

Each track features a French and Atlanta lyricist while Blasé solely handles production save for a co-production on the last track with EZ Beats. Blasé brings the immediately infectious mix of a European dance sensibility with the "real trap shit" from Atlanta, in the same vein as Brodinski. In an email, Blasé broke down the goal with the project: "Spin The Globe mission statement: Connect artists across cultures. Archive creative moments. Repeat."
