Although many are raised not to strike someone unless a hand is raised against him first, the reality is that you have to make the first move to save your life in some instances. But when Jayy Grams plays defense by taking the offense in his latest single "Hood Tales," it ends poorly for all parties involved.

The LOWFi member raps a carefully detailed story of being approached by a rando and knocks him out before Grams can be taken advantage of but it turns out he has friends who wants revenge, fast. The description of what unfolds ("got two bullets in me/only got one soul, real grimy") paired with the visuals feels like episode one of a series that could easily be binged on Netflix.

Grams also explained in an email how the plot is an all too familiar one: "It’s relevant to a lot of shit that goes on in Baltimore. Usually it’s just being caught at the wrong place at the wrong time."
