Left-field R&B singer-songwriter rum.gold has a clutch of smart songs behind him, including last year's seemingly radio-ready "Call It What You Want." Now the DMV-raised artist is gearing up to release a new EP aiMless (out tomorrow, April 24) with his best single yet. "Waiting For" is premiering at the top of the page. It's a collaboration with Jamila Woods, the critically acclaimed Chicago singer and poet whose last album Legacy! Legacy! was one of last year's best, and it finds a perfect balance between rum.gold's wispy falsetto and Woods' breathy delivery. “Waiting for” came from two people writing about two very different relationships and finding one phrase connecting the two experiences," rum.gold said of the song in an email to The FADER. Check it out above.
