The double edged sword of making art is leaving it up to the viewer to interpret it how he or she wants to but that can also invite unwelcome assumptions. For south west London artist Louis Culture, he's setting the record straight on "Being Me." After listing all the labels that's been shoved onto him from others, he gives you a piece of his story so there's no confusion. The production from Culture, as well as PULLEN, Fredwave and Ben Beheshty, is rooted in his own unique mix of lo-fi techno and hip-hop.

The Milo Blake-directed video also shows others who go through similar challenges to their identities and are doing their best to live their truths. In an email, Culture explained the hopes he has for the new music: "'Being Me' is the sound of change. The kicking down of a door type. I feel like this and the EP could play score to the current dystopia, as things are changing and so are we."

"Being Me" will be on Culture's upcoming debut project Smile Soundsystem.
