The body of 33-year-old Glee star Naya Rivera was recovered from Lake Piru in Ventura County on Monday morning, the local Sherriff's Department announced today at a press conference.
"We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera," Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said during the press conference, as reported by CNN. Foul play and suicide are not suspected.
Rivera was boating last Wednesday with her four-year-old son when she went missing — her son was discovered in the boat wearing a lifejacket, and a recovery mission was launched soon afterward.
Rivera was best known to fans around the world for her role as Santana Lopez on the hit FOX comedy Glee. Her rendition of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin" landed her a 2011 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals as part of the Glee cast, and in 2013 she shared the song "Sorry," written with then-boyfriend Big Sean.
