Stormzy has shared an uplifting and timely animated video for "Superheroes," the Black empowerment anthem from his 2019 album Heavy Is The Head. A cartoon Stormzy stars in the Taz Tron Delix-directed visual that showcases different definitions of superheroes, from the traditional (Stormzy flying through the clouds) to the everyday (caregivers, teachers, Black Lives Matter protestors, etc). The "Superheroes" video premiered on Wednesday morning in classrooms across the United Kingdom, the BBC reports, in cities like London, Glasgow, and Dublin. The screening was preceded by a video message from Stormzy: "We're all superheroes," he said. "As much as we come from where we come from, we might be disadvantaged, we might have so many obstacles in front of us, you are a superhero in your own right, and don't ever forget that.

"Those little skills that we have, those big skills that we have, those talents, those things that often go ignored, that makes you a superhero...I wanted to make this video to basically inspire you guys, to let you know that the sky is the limit, to let you know that all those things inside of you make you incredible."

The music video concludes with a tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who starred as King T'Challa in Marvel's Black Panther before his death from colon cancer at age 43.
