As the pandemic forces musicians to keep their performances online, platforms are finding new ways to accommodate the shift. Streaming platform Mixcloud announced Tickets on Tuesday, a new feature that allows artists to make money through the livestream feature they unveiled back in May. "Launching Tickets is our next step in helping artists and creators generate new income and building out a full-stack music platform, with creators at the core," Mixcloud CEO Nico Perez said.
In addition to the feature, they also announced an upcoming set of ticketed performances starting in late October. The series will feature Lafawndah, who kicks things off on October 25, followed by Flying Lotus on Halloween, and Róisín Murphy and Leon Vynehall each with dates in November.
