Ecco2k shares new EP PXE

The surprise release follows his beloved 2019 album e.

April 01, 2021

Ecco2k has always been a standout member of Drain Gang for his ambitious and confident sonic experiments beyond the worlds of underground pop and hip-hop, where D.G. staked their claim as a group to watch. Ecco's debut album e was a standout release of 2019 for that reason, and his new EP PXE, dropped without any warning on Friday, finds Ecco pushing his sound into noisy new realms. The five-track release spans nine minutes and comes with a stylish release-spanning video from artist and animator Freddy Carrasco — Ecco meets up with an alter ego named Echo while hanging out on a transmission tower in the visuals, inspired by anime and the dialogue box from the Pokémon games. Watch that above and listen to Pxe below.
