Norwegian singer-songwriter Marie Ulven made a very impressive debut last week as girl in red with the album if i could make it go quiet. "Serotonin," one of the project's lead singles, is a blend of epic Coldplay-style emotion and Billie Eilish-adjacent hip-hop experiments, a perfect combination for a song about overcoming a noisy mind. girl in red performed the song for her late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night. The entire thing is filmed in one single Steadicam shot, following Ulven from outside an industrial park into a factory where her band are playing, bathed in — what else? — red light. Watch the entire performance above.
