It's been a good year for HAIM and fans of the sister rock trio. Their 2020 album Women In Music Pt. III was nominated for two Grammy Awards including Album of the Year, but they're not wrapping up on the new music releases just yet. On Friday the band dropped "Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache," a glowing and peppy new pop song with a vintage tinge.
The track, produced by Dave Fridmann and Ariel Rechtshaid, is taken from the soundtrack for the upcoming Netflix film The Last Letter From Your Lover, directed by Augustine Frizzell. “The scene we were making the song for was all about movement," Haim said in a press statement, "so we felt like we needed a traveling beat, which spurred the initial idea. Augustine said she wanted something playful, so it was really a collaborative effort.” Have a listen to the song above.
