When Bobby Shmurda was locked up for six years on gang-related charges, the New York City rapper found some relief in Showtime's late-night talk show Desus & Mero. Now that he's finally free, Bobby is sitting down for an interview with the duo, and an extended cut of Sunday's conversation was uploaded today on YouTube.

From the jump, it's clear that every person involved is really excited for the interview to take place, which is what makes it so fun to watch. Desus & Mero thank Bobby for his shout-out from prison ("That put the battery in our backs," Mero says) and go on to discuss different aspects of incarcerated life, from Bobby's attempts to stay humble amid hunger for his release to the difficulties of making a salad while locked up.

Before they play a game of mini-golf, Bobby gives a brief update on music, including his collaboration with Migos: "We got all types of different music coming out," he said. "We got the Shmurda shit coming out. We got the Shmigos shit coming out. It's going to be a lit summer." Watch the full interview above.
