Tupac Shakur’s estate announces museum tour Wake Me When I’m Free

An exhibition highlighting the “life and legacy” of the late rapper will premiere at L.A. Live’s The Canvas before heading around the world.

The estate of Tupac Shakur has revealed a new museum exhibition chronicling the artist's life titled Tupac Shakur: Wake Me When I’m Free. Billed as "part museum, part art installation, part sensory experience" in a press release," Wake Me When I'm Free will premiere at L.A. Live’s The Canvas with additional stops around the world to come.

The show promises "a 20,000 square foot curated space akin to a contemporary art museum" dedicated to Shakur's art with "never before seen artifacts" on display. From the press release: "Guests will transition through a myriad of surround sound spaces, rich with rarities embedded in technology."

Pre-sale tickets for the show will go on sale November 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. PST at the show's website, with general sales starting on November 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. PST.
