Kumo 99's brand of electronic dance music is cut through with a punk spirit, mixing jungle and drum n bass breaks with a mosh-pit ready aesthetic to create something visceral and explosive. "Dow Bones," which is lifted from Ami Komai and Nate Donmoyer's new album BODY N. WILL, offers the perfect introduction to Kumo 99's world, with Komai singing in Japanese over a hardcore rave beat. There is an urgency to the way in which "Dow Bones" propels its way forwards, unaware of what lays on the other side but sprinting to the end point regardless. It's hard not to get caught in Kumo 99's slipstream.

"The song is about addiction, gambling and hating yourself," Ami Komai explains via email. "Making the choice not to write our lyrics in English is a political act. Our lack of translation is political."

The "Dow Bones" video matches the hectic vibe of the music, depicting a drunken rager filled with pizza, beer, balloons, bed bouncing, and way too many people for such a small room. Check it out below alongside a stream of Kumo 99s excellent BODY N. WILL.
