Arca shares music video for “Яitual”
The song is an edited version of a bonus track from her Kick series.
Arca is continuing the legacy of her Kick series with a music video for “Яitual.” The song was originally a four-and-a-half minute bonus track released on the second disc of the Kick compilation album that dropped last December, but she’s now released an 84-second version today (April 24) to go along with the visual.
“This video is for the freaks, for the outcasts, for the dispossessed, for the weirdos, for the migrants, for the shunned, the mocked, the ridiculed, the misunderstood, the othered,” Arca says in a press statement.
The clip was directed by Albert Moya, who also directed the visual for “Cayó,” another bonus track on Kick compilation record. In (Guadagnino’s) Suspiria-esque fashion, Arca dances in gritty spaces — sometimes with blood all over her body — seeming to use the moves to call on a higher and darker power.
