SHERELLE and AIAIAI open free music production studios in London for Black and queer artists

Both established and new artists can apply to use the community space.

DJ, producer, and BEAUTIFUL label founder SHERELLE has opened a community space in collaboration with Danish audio design company AIAIAI. The London-based music production studio is free to use for Black and queer artists, no matter where they are in their music career.

"This space is completely free if you are Black and queer and want to use it," she said in a video she posted to Twitter this morning (May 17). "So whether you're a music producer who is established or someone that is very, very new and wants to find their sound, come and use the studios now."

“Here at AIAIAI, we believe in providing the necessary tools for artists to express themselves fully,” the company said in a statement. “Working alongside SHERELLE and her BEAUTIFUL manifesto we have helped create a dedicated space with top-quality equipment. We aim to support the growth and success of Black and queer musicians, fostering a more inclusive and equitable music industry for the future.” The tech company also says it is “committed to shaping the future of music, empowering underrepresented creators, and breaking down barriers at every stage.”
