Lana Del Rey made her return to the stage over the weekend, performing her first full concert since 2019 at Brazil's MITA Festival. The headline set was notable for a number of reasons, with the live debut of a number of songs ("A&W," "Candy Necklace" among them) high on the list. It wasn't those moments that went viral, however. Instead, footage of Lana losing her vape on the stage has caused great amusement online.
"If you see my vape on stage, can you find my vape on stage?" she asked the Rio De Janeiro crowd at one point in the evening. The situation looked optimistic at one point. "You did? Where, though?" she said when fans pointed to her e-cigarette. "Oh, all the way in the pit?” she added, realizing it had fallen too far for her to retrieve, before ending with the classic admittance of defeat, "Fuck it."
The MITA Festival appearance followed last week's release of an expanded version of Lana's Taylor Swift-collaboration "Snow on the Beach." She will perform at Outside Lands, Lollapalooza, and All Things Go this summer. Let's hope they keep the vapes flowing.
