Chicago's Squirrel Flower has announced the follow-up to 2021's Planet (i). Tomorrow's Fire is out October 13 on Polyvinyl, and today we're treated to the first glimpse of that new record via a double-lead single "Full Time Job" and "When A Plant Is Dying." Both songs come with music videos directed by Lua Borges. Williams is also going on a headlining tour of the U.S. and Europe that kicks off shortly after the album's release.

When The FADER interviewed Squirrel Flower in 2020 as part of our Gen F series, she was still known first and foremost as a folk artist. With its assists from guests like Wednesday's MJ Lenderman, Tomorrow's Fire clearly wants to shed that image in favor of something rawer and more immediate, and the scuzzed-up guitars and cavernous production on both of these singles get it across loud and clear. Listen below.
