Paramore have shared the first details of a remix album to accompany their sixth studio effort This Is Why. The album, titled Re: This Is Why is due this Friday (October 6) with details of the featured artists TBC.
"We’ve long wanted to recognize the connection we have with some of the artists who’ve influenced us as a band and/or who have cited our band as an influence," the band wrote in an Instagram post.
The caption continued: "Re: This Is Why is almost a remix album. Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten. It’s incredible to hear all our worlds colliding."
This Is Why was released in February and features the singles "The News" and "C’est Comme Ça." It marked the return of Hayley Williams, Zac Farro, and Taylor York after a six-year hiatus.
Paramore were recently forced to cancel a raft of tour dates after Williams was struck down by a lung infection that left her, in her own words, “past the point of wanting to push through." Next summer they will open for Taylor Swift as her blockbuster "Eras" tour makes its way across Europe.
