Trina is defending her fellow rappers Sukihana and Sexyy Red against critics who believe they make music that’s overly sexual.

According to Complex , the “Here We Go” rapper went to bat for both musicians during a recent interview at One Musicfest.

“They are over 21, and they can do whatever they want to do,” Trina said, explaining that Sukihana and Sexyy Red have a right to act suggestively and make whatever kind of music they please.

“This is… freedom of speech, like we’re not locked up, we’re not chained down, say what you want to say, make music of what you feel like,” she continued. “If you don’t like it, don’t listen, that’s why we have ears.”

Trina’s comments come on the heels of Tampa artist Khia — who released the provocative single “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)” in 2002 — labeling the new generation of women rappers “hoes.”

“I’m ’bout tired of y’all comparing me to these hoes,” Khia said in a video from last month. “I said, ‘My neck, my back, my pussy, and my crack.’ Not these n****s out here, these hoes out here.”

She added, “I still stood 10 toes down like a motherfucking queen. Hair still wrapped like the first day.”

In response, Sexyy Red commented on a post about the clip, calling Khia a “mad hater” who’s “just another ol washed up [hag] hating ona yung turnt rich [bitch].”

Meanwhile, Sukihana took to X — formerly known as Twitter — to say she’d “knock Khia [the f**k] out.”

“SUKIHANA is SUKIHANA a has been is a has been. I’m booked every weekend until next September of NEXT YEAR. I get it I’m ratchet but I live in my truth,” she said in another tweet referencing Trina’s own issues with Khia. “Atlease I don’t sit in front of a library mad at Trina everyday with 172 teeth in my mouth.”

The FADER has yet to hear back from representatives for Trina, Sexyy Red, and Sukihana. Meanwhile, Khia responded with a series of emojis, including a speaking head, crying faces, and several pickaxes.
