Glasgow Eyes is the first Jesus and Mary Chain album since 2017's Damage and Joy. It was recorded at Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studio in Glasgow and, according to press materials, leans into the Reid brothers' love of jazz for the first time.

In a statement, Jim Reid says, "Don’t expect ‘the Mary Chain goes jazz.’ People should expect a Jesus and Mary Chain record, and that’s certainly what Glasgow Eyes is. Our creative approach is remarkably the same as it was in 1984, just hit the studio and see what happens. There’s a telepathy there — we are those weird not-quite twins that finish each other’s sentences."

In addition to the new album, and an autobiography, the band will also embark on a headline tour of the U.K. and Europe.
