The song performed on the late night shows was "That Night in Hawaii When I Turned into a Panther and Started Making These Low Register Purring Tones That I Couldn't Control ... Sh¥t Was Wild." Colbert asked about the story behind such a title and the pair discussed an ayahuasca ceremony André took part in that, in his words, turned him into a panther. "I don't know the details of how it happened but my face contorted and my body started making noises like *purrs*."

The Late Show performance came on the same day André announced his first solo tour dates in support of New Blue Sun. The tour begins at Brooklyn, New York’s Crown Hill Theatre next week and will then zig-zag from coast to coast for the next two months, finally landing at Los Angeles’ Masonic Lodge for a five-night residency in early March.
