Well, who didn't see this coming? Nicki Minaj has gone officially MAGA.
On Tuesday, Minaj joined President Trump and Secretary Scott Bessent at a summit to promote "Trump Bonds," where she publicly and officially pledged her allegiance to Trump.
"I am probably the president's No. 1 fan," she said in a brief speech during the event. "And that's not going to change. [The hate] motivates me to support him more." Later, she added that "God is protecting him."
Minaj has been ratcheting up her support for president Trump and his MAGA movement for months. She initially linked herself to the president in November 2025, when she publicly backed the president's claims about Christians being persecuted in Nigeria. She subsequently spoke about the subject at the United Nations alongside Trump-appointed UN ambassador Mike Waltz.
She further aligned herself with the movement in December by attending and speaking at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix. In a conversation with Charlie Kirk's widow Erika Kirk, she called President Trump "handsome" and "dashing," and complimented Vice President J.D. Vance as an "assassin" (before realizing the faux paux of saying so to the grieving Kirk).
And the feeling's clearly mutual. At Wednesday's summit, President Trump glowingly introduced the Prink Friday 2 rapper as the "most successful female rapper in history," echoing the language of Minaj's fan community, called "Barbz." Later, the White House's X account posted "Barbz babies getting the bag 💸" in response to Minaj's summit appearance.
As for "Trump Bonds" — that's a new program promoted by the Trump administration that will allow all children born between 2025 and 2028 to qualify for an initial $1,000 deposit from the Treasury Department.
Minaj herself has pledged to contribute "$150,000 and $300,000 to fund her fans’ Trump accounts," CNBC reported, an initiative she's whole-heartedly supporting, naturally.
"I absolutely love my Barbz,” Minaj shared in a statement. “I want to see them bring healthy, and successful children into the world. I know raising a child can be expensive and challenging at times, so I’m committed to doing whatever I can to support them."
