Yeat has been teasing his upcoming album ADL (A Dangerous Lyfe) since his FADER interview back in 2024. A little over a year later, he's dropped the first single from that project, "Made It On Our Own," complete with a feature from British wunderkind EsDeeKid.
In the music video, the pair party at Drake's house with Caleb Williams in an homage to the pandemic-era video for "Toosii Slide." The clip has an interesting quasi-meta aspect, both for its shot-for-shot pastiche and the occasional glimpses of the cameramen filming the proceedings.
Even if the Director X-directed footage occasionally feels like real estate promo, it's the sort of earnest, against-the-grain deep cut appreciation I can get behind: "Toosii Slide" was always a good song, whatever haters said of the silly dance.
Near the end of the video, Yeat takes off his shiesty to get in the pool; EsDeeKid does not. You can watch the antics above.
