This Is Lorelei and Power Snatch (Hayley Williams and Daniel James), “Perfect Hand (Power Snatch Version)”

Power Snatch, the new duo composed of Hayley Williams and Daniel James, covered one of my favorite This Is Lorelei songs. Their version starts austere with nothing but a drum machine, bass line and Williams’s recognizable voice. Eventually vocal harmonies and soft ambiance comes in, dressing the musical skeleton up in something frilly and soft. —Tobias Hess

GIRLSET, “Tweak”

All rise - the first song of the summer contender has arrived. This sultry banger by rising girl group GIRLSET is so unassumingly addictive, I can’t stop singing: “Boy, you gon make me tweak.” —Steffanee Wang

threetwenty, “who u think u foolin’”

Nigerian-American singer Ivana Nwokike and Swedish producer Filip Hunter are the husband/wife duo making languid, throwback R&B for the next generation. Together they blend soul with Swedish pop precision, crafting something undeniable.— Hajin Yoo

Loukeman, “All I Could Think Of”

This is the kind of glitchy, lo-fi and slightly romantic, ambient music that I wish automatically played in my ears as I moved about my day, turning everyday slogs into slightly more meaningful moments. —SW

María Isabel, "Suiza"

“Suiza” by Dominican-American artist María Isabel, is a sunny dembow track produced by El Guincho who's helped shape the digitized musicality of Rosalía, Camila Cabello, and Charli xcx. The track is heavy on ear worms and little sonic details that fizzle like a cold soda on a sweaty day. — TH

B0YG1RL and Prblm, "Je M’appelle Tété”

B0YG1RL are an up-and-coming EDM duo from Florida whose latest EP 777 was made in a lab to move your hips. They sound especially good working with NOVAGANG-affiliate Prblm, who laces "Je M’appelle Tété” with a Miami bass meets baile funk instrumental loud enough to set off car alarms. – VM

Lowertown, "Big Thumb"

“Big Thumb” by New York City-by way of Atlanta duo Lowertown is less song than it is a chant. On it, Avsha Weinberg repeatedly sings the refrain “holding out the big thumb” before adding details about his existential hitchhike. It’s a track that goes in circles while ascending. — TH

bunii, “crash”

Teen bedroom guitarist bunii is a rising star from the fast-growing SoundCloud indie scene. “crash” mixes pop punk melodrama with math rock sensibilities. I can’t wait to hear more on his upcoming album virgilio, out March 27. – Vivian Medithi

B Jack$ and thickney, “Hottie”

thickney is so ridiculous on social media she almost makes B Jack$ look serious by comparison. But don’t let her TikTok pedigree fool you – thickney has been making unexpectedly addictive bangers with YoEliWTF for the better part of a year, and easily keeps up with B Jack$’s antics on retro-jam “Hottie.” – VM
