When newly minted Olympic icon Alysa Liu had her Teen Vogue cover shoot this month, several photos featured the figure skater wearing a polo and leggings by JC the Label. These clothes feel like a great fit for the burgeoning celeb: cute with an edge like Liu, JC is playful and poised. The Shanghai-based brand is the brainchild of Chinese-American designer Jina Cappo, and has become a niche styling favorite for musicians including SZA and LISA of BLACKPINK in recent years.
I first discovered the brand last summer after French electropop artist Cannelle did a TikTok fitcheck in their skirt, tights, and snapback. In the months since, PinkPantheress, JT, and Lexa Gates have all popped up wearing JC. The brand’s latest argyle cutout “Job Interview Bodysuit” made a big splash online last month, and I would be shocked if we didn’t see it in someone’s music video by the time summer hits.
Here are a few of our favorite looks from JC The Label.
