Niontay and Sunny brush the haters off in new Soulja Hate Repellant video

Niontay was on some “Wayne, No Ceilings shit” when he recorded his latest project Soulja Hate Repellant. He’s back this week with a new video for mixtape centerpiece “soulja hate/ Mr.Havemyway x Mr.Beatdaroad.” Featuring fellow Floridian Sunny, the two-parter highlights Niontay at his most melodic, his slurred bars tracing a sludgy line over rippling production before offering a raspy counterpoint to Garcon Dior’s smooth chords on the track’s second half.

Part one of “soulja hate” was produced by Dylvinci, Casavedes, and Flea Diamonds. When I talked to Dylvinci about the recording process behind SHR, he told me the trio made the beat in front of Niontay at Casavedes’s studio as part of an especially productive day.

“The first song we made that day was also produced by me, Casavedes, and Flea, but RealYungPhil is gonna use it on his upcoming album and it’s gonna be featuring Niontay,” Dylvinci told The FADER back in January. If it’s anything like “soulja hate,” fans can expect a cult classic.
